Worksheet: Tapping Into the Benefits of Gratitude

Gratitude, by definition, represents the deepest touchpoint of human existence, strengthening trusted relationships and new connections that together create upward spirals of greater well-being, more prosocial behaviors and a deeper sense of purpose. With purpose being tied to human connectedness, it comes as no surprise that gratitude is often called the social glue that strengthens relationships and serves humanity.


Tapping into the benefits of gratitude begins with our internal GPS, orienting us to who and what is really important in our lives. From here, we can extend our gratitude outward to encompass family and friends, neighbors and coworkers, patients and their families and the broader community.
